Equalities and Welsh language training

We offer our staff, elected members and the staff of partner organisations from the health, police and voluntary sectors a range of Equalities and Welsh Language training, from awareness sessions on various specific topics to conversational language classes in Welsh and various class levels of British Sign Language ability.

Welsh courses in the community

Courses are available for the whole Gwent area – Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. The courses are delivered by Canolfan Gymraeg i Oedolion Gwent (the Gwent Regional Welsh for Adults Centre).

Partnership Working with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council

Since April 2012, Caerphilly county borough Council has been providing Blaenau Gwent county borough council with Equalities and Welsh language training.  This has been set-up under an agreed Service Level Agreement which runs for 12 months.  This service level agreement has now been running for 2 years, details of which can be found in the report below.

All the courses run in partnership with Blaenau Gwent CBC are included in Blaenau Gwent CBC Equalities Training Report 2014-2015.
