Polling station review

Section 17 of the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 introduced a duty on local authorities to ‘carry out and complete’ reviews of polling districts and polling places before 31 January 2015, and then in the period of 16 months beginning with 1 October of every fifth year after that.

To comply with this duty the review in the Caerphilly County Borough will be conducted between 1 July 2014 and 12 December 2014.

The review will seek to establish how suitably placed the polling stations are within each electoral area making specific reference to both disability and accessibility issues.
