Council seeks views on review of regeneration grants
Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking views on proposed changes to its regeneration grants.

On 27th February 2019 the council’s Cabinet agreed to consult on proposals to merge several of its grant programmes into one ‘Caerphilly Enterprise Fund’ that will focus on developing business growth and creating employment opportunities.

If approved, the single targeted grant would give a greater focus to supporting start-up businesses, encouraging economic growth, filling identified gaps in supply chains and helping to create jobs in the Caerphilly county borough.

The Caerphilly Enterprise Fund would still be open to community groups and social enterprises for projects focussing on economic activity.  The council’s Community Regeneration Team would also continue to support community groups to access alternative funding sources; with at least twenty-one other sources available.

Local businesses, the voluntary sector and community groups are encouraged to give their views by completing a survey which can be found on the council’s website:

For more information, or to request a hard copy of the survey, contact 01443 866441 / 866251.  The consultation will close on 13th May.
