Sultan’s Summer Sessions

The school holidays are here and the Countryside Team have organised an action packed week of family fun in Parc Penallta.

The Sultan summer sessions will kick off with a Pond Safari at 11am on Monday 6th August. Explore the hidden depths of the pond and discover the creatures that live there, dipping sessions take place every 30 minutes.

Find out more about our fantastic bumblebees at the Bee-tastic event on Tuesday 7th August. There will be a variety of activities, games and crafts between 11am and 3pm.

Send your adventurers off through the park to solve the puzzles and clues that could lead them to the hidden treasure. Sultan’s Treasure Trail will be held from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday 8th August.

For something a little different try the Night Time Nature event on Wednesday 8th August at 7:30pm for a walk around the park to see what wildlife we can find as the sun sets.

For all budding survivalists who fancy themselves as an upcoming Bear Grylls, visit the SOS Survival event on Thursday 9th August from 1:30pm to 4pm. The afternoon is full of survival skills and techniques children can learn when venturing out into the wild. Participants can enjoy a hot chocolate with marshmallows from the special marshmallow tree.

On Friday afternoon from 11am to 3pm, join us for Mini Beast Mayhem and hunt for bugs and other insects in the meadows by the Education Centre. Children can learn more about the bugs’ habitats and even make a bug house to take home.

All activities will begin at the Education Centre and cost £1.50 per child. If you would like more information about any of the activities on offer, please call 01443 816853.

Booking is essential for all events.
