The local community came together to enjoy a range of festive fun at a recent Christmas Event at Bargoed Park Estate Community Centre.

Organised by the Welsh Government funded Legacy scheme at Caerphilly County Borough Council, this event aimed to provide employment guidance and support for the local area in a fun festive setting on Monday 3rd December.

In attendance were a number of council agencies to advise people of the facilities they can offer including the Family Information Service, Families First, Legacy, C4W+, and there was also a visit from the local Bargoed Shotokan Karate Club.

During the event families were able to take part in a range of free activities with Christmas themed arts and crafts, a photo booth and a variety of drinks and food were also available.

Cllr Sean Morgan, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member with responsibility for Regeneration at Caerphilly County Borough Council said, “These events are a brilliant way to bring the local community closer together and are a pathway to find out about the support available from agencies at Caerphilly County Borough Council. The funding from Legacy provides a way to help address social and economic issues through a range of projects and it’s excellent that members of the community came along to this event and took advantage of the resources available.”
