Update on works at Groes-Faen Terrace, Bargoed - 20/12/21
Following a recent site visit and discussions with Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water it was not permissible to continue works to one crossing as it’s highly likely it will cause damage to the fragile cast iron water main.
 
Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water already have plans to renew the cast-iron water-main over the summer of 2022.  As such the last section of our highway drainage renewal will be completed in coordination with Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water works next year.
 
This will ensure that there are no unplanned disruptions to the water at this time main and works can still be completed on the 23rd December 2021.
