Have your say on Local Development – Draft Delivery Agreement
Posted on : 28 Jan 2021
Residents across the Caerphilly county borough are being encouraged to have their say on the Local Development Plan (LDP) – Draft Delivery Agreement.
The LDP is a blueprint which identifies where new developments such as housing, employment, community facilities and roads will take place in future.
In October 2019 the council agreed to prepare a new Local Development Plan to replace the existing one (the Adopted LDP).
The first stage of the process, the ‘Review Report’ addressed several key issues including why a new plan is being prepared, and identified any changes in legislation and evidence that is required to support the new LDP.
The Draft Delivery Agreement 9-week public consultation opened on Monday 25th January and ends on Monday 29 March 2021.
Following this, a report of consultation responses and the final amended Delivery Agreement will be reported to Council in June to seek agreement for the Delivery Agreement to be submitted to Welsh Government.
