Emergency Business Fund – open for applications

Businesses in Wales impacted by the rapid spread of the Omicron virus can apply for emergency financial support under a new Welsh Government support package.

The funding is available for retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism business sectors that do not pay business rates and are not eligible for the Economic Resilience fund.

The funding is intended to cover the business impact from the 13 December 2021 to the 14 February 2022.

Specifically, the EBF will support businesses that are either:

Grant A  

A £1,000 cash grant payment for hospitality, tourism, retail and related supply chain businesses which do not employ anyone apart from the owner, and do not have a property. This includes freelancers in the creative sector.

Grant B

​A £2,000 cash grant payment for hospitality, tourism, retail, leisure and related supply chain businesses who employ staff through PAYE (in addition to the owner).

The grant opens to applications from the week commencing the 17 January 2022 and will close at 5pm on the 14 February 2022.
