A new £14 million global headquarters of life sciences company, BBI Group, was officially opened by Welsh Government’s Economy Secretary, Ken States, on Thursday 5th July.

This is a fantastic move for the Caerphilly county borough with the new global headquarters centralising the manufacturing and development activities from locations in Blaenavon, Cardiff and Dundee onto its new site in Crumlin.

After securing a £1.8 million package from Welsh Government, this new move will create and protect over 360 jobs in Wales by 2020. This will help provide more opportunities for people across the Caerphilly county borough and provide a substantial boost to the local economy.

Cllr Sean Morgan, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy, Infrastructure, Sustainability and Wellbeing said, “I am delighted that BBI Group has chosen Crumlin for its new headquarters. This state of the art facility will help increase morale, employment and the economy across the Caerphilly county borough and I look forward to seeing the results.”
