Caerphilly County Borough Council named winners at the 2022 Exemplar Awards

Caerphilly County Borough Council secured two Platinum Awards at the GeoPlace Exemplar Awards 2022.

GeoPlace's Exemplar Awards recognise outstanding contributions to the management or use of street & addressing data in the UK.

Good quality address and street data underpin many aspects of local government business; from large transformation to smaller initiatives which have found clever ways to join up other information.

Good data is critical in all of this. Without accurate, current and well-maintained data, many of these challenges simply won't be solved.

The small Caerphilly County Borough Council Address Management team, consisting of Lee Pinney, Myra Osborn, Rachel Holden was awarded a Platinum Award for Address Data whilst Senior Application Operations Engineer Kathryn Sprackling-Jones was presented with a Platinum Award for Street Data Management.

Councillor Philippa Leonard - Cabinet Member for Planning & Public Protection said: “It is great to see Team Caerphilly recognised is this way. Data is something that very much goes on behind the scenes, but without being done effectively would cause disruption to every service that we, as a borough, offer. Well done to everyone involved.”
