Nominations now open for the Volunteer Achievement Awards
Nominations are now open for the prestigious awards ceremony which recognises the efforts of dedicated volunteers.

The Caerphilly GAVO Volunteer Achievement Awards are organised in partnership with Caerphilly Council and provide an opportunity to recognise local people and groups who dedicate their time, energy and skills to helping others.

Volunteers can be nominated under a range of categories to include volunteering within a local charity, supporting a statutory organisation or helping others informally in their community or neighbourhood;

·         Adult Volunteer
·         Environmental Volunteer
·         Grass Roots Hero Mayor’s Civic Award
·         Group Volunteers
·         Parent Volunteer of the Year
·         Personal Journey
·         Trustee Volunteer
·         Young Volunteer

A special awards ceremony to recognise winners and those highly commended will be held in the Autumn at Blackwood Miners Institute.

To be considered for an award, an individual or group of volunteers must carry out their volunteering activity within the Caerphilly county borough area.
