Coronavirus - payment of council tax
Posted on : 22 Jun 2020
Council tax helps pay for essential services that are delivered to all residents in the county borough.
With this in mind, we are asking you to pay your monthly council tax instalments as shown on your bill. If you have not yet paid the amount(s) due on this year’s bill, please bring your payments up-to-date. You may also have a balance to pay from before 1 April 2020 which needs to be paid.
We will be issuing letters for the current year amounts that should have been paid by now; these will be issued in July. We look forward to receiving your payment. If you cannot pay the whole amount, please email or call us so that we can try and help you.
How to pay
If you normally make your payments in person at one of our cash offices, please note the cash offices are currently closed due to the Coronavirus situation. There are many other ways you can pay. These include direct debit, online payments, using a Post Office card and our telephone payment line which is 01443 863366. Visit our Pay your council tax section for full details.
