It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Caerphilly Town Centre
Posted on : 30 Nov 2021
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Caerphilly Town Centre as it prepares for the Winter Food and Craft Market.
As the penultimate market in a series of Winter Food and Craft Markets being held throughout the Borough, Caerphilly Town Centre is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland with over 50 food and craft stalls. There will be cakes and brownies from regular attendees Popty Cara and Good and Proper Brownies as well glazed nuts, Indian produce, mulled wine and cider. There will also be a selection of Christmas decorations and gift stalls a plenty, to name just some of the delicious and delightful products available!
The festive, family day out will also include a selection of children’s funfair rides along with a jam-packed programme of top quality street theatre entertainment.
Taking place on Saturday 4th December, the Market provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to shop locally this Christmas. Caerphilly Town Centre has a selection of independent stores filled with quirky gift ideas; there are also a number of high street stores, cafes and bars.
Cllr. Eluned Stenner, Cabinet Member for Performance, Economy and Enterprise said “As we head into December there has never been a more important time to choose local and support your local high street. These businesses are at the heart of our high streets and we should support them as much as we can this Christmas.”
The event will be located on Cardiff Road, Twyn Road, Castle Street (Northbound carriageway only) and Twyn Car Park where there will be a road closure in place from 9pm on Friday 3rd December until 9pm on Saturday 4th December.
Markets will take place throughout the Borough on:
Saturday 4th December - Cardiff Road, Twyn Road, Castle and Twyn Car Park, Caerphilly
Saturday 11th December - High Street, Blackwood
