It’s is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Bargoed Town Centre

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Bargoed Town Centre as it prepares for the Winter Food and Craft Market.

As the first in a series of Winter Food and Craft Markets being held throughout the Borough, Bargoed Town Centre is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland with approximately 20 food and craft stalls. There will be cider, Perry, vodka, gin, cakes, sweets, jewellery and House Of Wax bath products on sale, to name just some of the delicious and delightful products available!

The festive, family day out will also include a selection of children’s funfair rides along with a jam-packed programme of top quality street theatre entertainment.

Taking place on Saturday 20th November, the Market is the perfect opportunity for visitors to shop locally. Bargoed Town Centre has a selection of independent stores filled with quirky gift ideas; there are also a number of high street stores, cafes and bars.

Cllr. Eluned Stenner, Cabinet Member for Performance, Economy and Enterprise said “We are very excited for the first Winter Food and Craft Market. As things start to return to normal after a challenging 18 months, it’s important that we all still shop locally and support our local high street.”

The event will be located on Lowry Plaza, Hanbury Square and Hanbury Road from its junction with Wood Street to West Street where there will be a road closure in place from 9pm on Friday 19th November until 9pm on Saturday 20th November.

Markets will take place throughout Caerphilly County Borough on:

  • Saturday 20th November - Lowry Plaza, Hanbury Square and Hanbury Road, Bargoed
  • Saturday 27th November - Bedwlwyn Road and Oakfield Street, Ystrad Mynach
  • Saturday 4th December - Cardiff Road, Twyn Road, Castle and Twyn Car Park, Caerphilly
  • Saturday 11th December - High Street, Blackwood
