Homeswapper

We are a member of the national HomeSwapper Scheme which holds details of tenants seeking a mutual exchange within the Caerphilly county borough as well as details of those from outside the area.

HomeSwapper is free for Caerphilly council tenants to register and use.

HomeSwapper helps you find possible mutual exchanges; searching for potential matches with other tenants within the county borough and from all over the country who may want to swap their home with you.

How does HomeSwapper work?

HomeSwapper is easy to use. There are just a few basic steps:

  • Register on the HomeSwapper website.  When you select Caerphilly County Borough Council as your landlord your tenancy details will be confirmed by us and your registration will be free.

  • HomeSwapper then look for potential swaps

  • If a potential swap is found, you will be sent an email or text alert. (You will need to provide a mobile telephone number and/or email address when you register).

  • If you find a potential tenant that you would like to mutually exchange with, you then need to complete our mutual exchange form (PDF 42kb) and submit it to your local housing office where your application will be processed.

Do you need access to the Internet to register?

If you do not have Internet access you can contact your local housing office where we will be able to help. Or you can access the internet at your local library.

Don’t forget – you must not exchange homes with anyone before you get written permission from both of your landlords.  For further advice and information please contact your local housing office.
