Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment Report

Under the Flood Risk Regulations (2009) and the Flood and Water Management Act became law in April (2010) Caerphilly Council Borough Council has been identified as a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) and has been given a number of key responsibilities, including the preparation of a Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment Report (PFRA).

Review of Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment

The first cycle is complete so we are now in the second cycle of implementation. This means that those products produced throughout cycle 1 above need to be reviewed, and if appropriate, updated. The review and update begins with the Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment (PFRA) stage.

Legislative deadlines for second cycle of PFRA

There is a difference between the dates in legislation by which the PFRA review needs to be undertaken. The Regulations require the PFRA review to be completed by 22nd December 2017; and the Directive requires the review to be completed by 22nd December 2018.
