Following the First Ministers announcement on Saturday 19 December, we can confirm that our leisure facilities are closed. Thank you for your patience and support through this difficult year and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to welcoming you back when Welsh Government guidance permits.

Customers who feel uncertain about returning at the moment can continue to freeze their membership by contacting the Customer Service Team on 01443 863072 or email leisure@caerphilly.gov.uk.

The following centres will reopen on Monday 9 November:

  • Caerphilly Leisure Centre
  • Heolddu Leisure Centre
  • Cefn Forest Leisure Centre
  • Newbridge Leisure Centre
  • Risca Leisure Centre
  • Bedwas Leisure Centre

Your safety

Your safety and the safety of leisure centre staff is our priority.

You must not visit the centre if you are unwell or showing symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). You must adhere to the COVID-19 social distancing and hygiene government guidance at all times.

If you feel unwell or develop COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, or you have received a positive COVID-19 test result, then you should immediately self-isolate and stay at home and follow government guidance.

If you have been in contact with someone with symptoms of COVID-19 you must get a test and self-isolate at home for 14 days.

What you can expect when you visit a leisure centre

When you visit us, you’re going to notice changes we have made to ensure our commitment to keep everyone safe.

These include:

  • All sessions will need to be booked in advance
  • A reduction in the number of users in the building
  • Changes to our timetables and relocation of our classes
  • Enhanced cleaning regimes as well as cleaning and sanitisation products provided
  • Social distance and directional signage to follow as you move around our buildings
