Viewpoint panel

The Caerphilly Viewpoint Panel was set up as part of our commitment to understanding the views of our residents.

The panel is made up of a group of local people living in Caerphilly county borough who have been selected to represent your community. We try to make sure that there is representation from all sectors of the community and from all parts of the county borough. To help us achieve this, we often invite members of other resident groups to join in Viewpoint Panel consultations, for example, Caerphilly Parent Network, Caerphilly Youth Forum and the Caerphilly 50+ Forum.

Panel members are asked to complete several questionnaires a year about the council, our partners and the services that we deliver. Panel members are also invited to attend meetings to discuss topics in a bit more detail.

Becoming a member of the Viewpoint Panel

If you are aged over 16 and would like to become a member, please contact our Public Engagement Officer. We welcome applications from all parts of the community and are particularly keen to hear the views of younger adults, people with disabilities and those from the black or minority ethnic community who are often under-represented on the Viewpoint Panel.

If you would like to know more about our Viewpoint Panel, contact our Public Engagement Officer.
