Caerphilly County Borough Council at the National Eisteddfod 2024
Posted on : 31 Jul 2024
The National Eisteddfod is taking place in Pontypridd from the 2
nd
-10
th
of August this year and Caerphilly County Borough Council will have a presence in more ways than one.
CCBC is working in partnership with
Cymraeg i Bawb
(Welsh for Everyone) and will be supporting at their stand during the Eisteddfod. Cymraeg i Bawb is a partnership of South-East Wales Welsh Medium Education Promotion Partnership and the Pencampwr (Champion). The partnership consists of 10 Local Authorities, 6 Mentrau Iaith, Cymraeg i Blant, RhAG, and the Welsh Government in South-East Wales. The project is funded by Welsh Government and is contributed towards by the partners.
The project was initiated by
Grŵp Deddf
, South-East Wales Welsh language officers, when they realised that the partners that promote Welsh-medium education could benefit enormously from working together.
The partnership aims to create a Wales where everyone is free to learn and speak Welsh.
CCBC is proud of our offer of
Welsh-medium education
for children and young people, and all the local staff who support parents and carers in their journey. Cymraeg i Bawb is here to help you learn more about Welsh-medium education so that you can choose it for your children!
If you’re visiting the National Eisteddfod this year, come along to speak to the officers and hear about all the work that is happening across the regions to improve and increase the take-up of Welsh-medium education.
