Kinetic Pixel: Local Business Supported with Funding from The Caerphilly Enterprise Fund and UKSPF to Upgrade Software

Kinetic Pixel is a business based in Caerphilly that designs and builds entertainment technology systems that power interactive studio graphics, trigger the lights and sounds, manage the scores and content, and enable real time interaction for both virtual and live audiences, contestants, and presenters across the globes.

Some shows that they have worked on include Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, The Wheel, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, The Masked Singer. They also provide the graphics for some of these shows when sold to be aired abroad.

The team at Kinetic Pixel have spoken to Sally Harvey on numerous occasions over the years, having received grant support previously. But on this occasion, they contacted Sally from the Business Enterprise Renewal Team to discuss the need for support to purchase additional software licences to allow for the growth of the software and graphics development team. This will allow Kinetic Pixel to be more competitive and win contracts worldwide as well as the UK.

The Caerphilly Enterprise Fund and UKSPF was able to Offer Kinetic Pixel grant support of £2938. This support allowed the company to bid for these essential contracts to create more revenue and job security in our current climate.

Kinetic Pixel are currently expanding through recruitment of graduates and experienced industry professionals. Each hire requires significant extra resources such as software licences, laptops, and additional equipment.

Craig Hann, Founder and Managing Director of Kinetic Pixel, said “The Caerphilly Enterprise Fund has enabled us to turn around key equipment purchases in a timely manner and assisted in our continued growth. The fund was easy to access, and the paperwork was straightforward with Sally and the business team’s support.”

Cllr Jamie Pritchard, Cabinet member for Prosperity, Regeneration & Climate Change, commented "We're delighted to support Kinetic Pixel with funding to help their business grow. We're looking forward to working positively with them in the future.”
