Shingrig Road Overbridge, Nelson – essential repair works extended

**An update from Transport for Wales**
Following a further inspection by Transport for Wales (TfW), the Shingrig Road overbridge, additional wear and tear to the bridge has been found and will require a slightly longer programme of works than originally communicated.
As such, the traffic management will not be removed the coming weekend as previously stated, and the footpath and cycle path will also remain closed.
These measures are in place to ensure the safety of the public and the railway. TfW are urging members of the public to comply with the traffic management measures until they are removed.
Transport for Wales understand this news will be disappointing, but assure you that we are working as hard as we can to complete the works as soon as possible, with the current aim to conclude work by February, if not sooner if we can.
