Help with combined sight and hearing difficulties

Combined hearing and sight difficulties can range from being deaf and blind to being hard of hearing and partially sighted.

The service you will have is provided by Rehabilitation Officers for Visual Impairment (ROVI).

ROVI’s are specialists in combined hearing and sight difficulties.  They will talk to you about your hearing and sight loss and any problems you might be having and will give you a special assessment.

  • equipment – we can loan you special equipment to help with sight and hearing loss
  • practical help – this includes communicators for appointments, guides on shopping trips and leisure activities, support at day services, help with phone calls and correspondence
