The actions taken to promote active travel journeys

• Completion of 7 WelTAG lite studies to develop concept designs for those areas of the ATNM in Bargoed & Cefn Forest, Caerphilly town & Caerphilly south-west, Nelson, Wattsville – Crosskeys – Risca, Ystrad Mynach town centre, Ystrad Mynach train station to college and Ystrad Mynach – Llanbradach – Caerphilly. Each study included stakeholder engagement.

The actions taken to secure new active travel routes and related facilities and improvements

• A469 Pontlottyn Link, Butetown, uncontrolled pedestrian crossing
• Pedestrian tactile crossings, Graig-y-Rhacca and Wattsville/Cwmfelinfach
• Pottery Road, Cefn Hengoed - access barriers
