Recycling Advisor

Salary: £24,496 - £26,845

We are recruiting for 6 Recycling Advisors to join us on our journey to increase recycling rates to 70% and beyond.

You will play a key role in the delivery of the strategy by visiting residents to promote the service and identify barriers to recycling participation.

This exciting and diverse role will also see unique opportunities to engage with schools and the wider community to promote the service and encourage sustained behaviour change.

Technical Assistant

Salary: £27,344 - £30,151

We are recruiting 2 permanent roles to join our Waste and Recycling Team as Technical Assistants.

The roles play an important part of raising the profile of the services available to residents including the collection, disposal and treatment of waste and recycling materials.

You will also be responsible for reporting on performance, responding to information requests and dealing with the Authority’s service to commercial waste customers.

There will also be an opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of community organisations and sector agencies to deliver high level performance targets.

Refuse and Cleansing Operatives – Household Recycling Centres  

Salary: £21,575 - 21,968

We are recruiting for 9 operatives to work at the Authority’s network of Household Recycling Centres.

The Authority operates 6 Household Recycling Centres which are open 7 days a week all year round and we are looking to recruit 9 persons to help us improve recycling performance at the sites.

This role will require a good level of customer service skills as you will support residents to recycle on site effectively when disposing of household items. You will also be expected to check credentials of those arriving onsite for relevant residency and required permits.

A key part of this role is to enhance the customer experience and support the delivery of the strategy to increase recycling rates across the county borough.

Refuse and Cleansing Operatives – Waste and Recycling Collections and Cleansing

Salary: £21,575 - 21,968

We are seeking to appoint 6 Refuse and Cleansing Operatives to join the Waste and Recycling Team.

We take pride in our county borough and in this role you will play a key part of ensuring is a clean and healthy environment for people to live, work and visit.

As part of job you will join a team that provides effective waste collection services, this may be a part of the bin collections.

You will also be responsible for the removal of waste, detritus and bulky items from pedestrian areas, grass verges, parks, roads, pavements, wasteland, houses and public properties.

Health & Safety Officer

Salary: £31,099 - £33,820

We are seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join our Waste & Recycling Team.

The Waste and Recycling Services we provide to residents are vast and it is important that Health and Safety compliance is at the forefront of service delivery.

We are seeking a Health and Safety professional that can ensure we are operating within our policies, processes and procedures and staff are appropriately trained.

The successful applicant would be expected to collate, record, control and develop accurate and compliant data information.

This role will also play a key part in transforming the service delivery as part of the Waste and Recycling Strategy.
