Plans and strategies
Under both UK and Wales-specific legislation, we must have policies in place to show how we intend to meet our legal duties to make sure our services are accessible to everyone who lives in, works in or visits the county borough.
We have one fully integrated policy in place, the Strategic Equality Plan 2016-2020 which ensures that we comply with the Equality Act 2010 (Statutory Duties) (Wales) Regulations 2011 and the Welsh Language Standards. (No.1) Regulations 2015. The implementation of those duties are covered in an integrated action plan over the same four-year period.
We also have to publish annual performance reports on how we are doing, which are scrutinised by elected members following consultation with council officers and partners.
