Sport Caerphilly Sport Awards

Here is your opportunity to nominate and recognise your Club, Community Coaches and Volunteers for the forthcoming Sport Caerphilly Sport Awards evening on 16 November 2018 at Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa. Visit the Sport Caerphilly website for details.

The Sport Caerphilly Sport Awards is an initiative that acknowledges the endeavour, innovation and commitment of those who have helped to make more people, more active more often and hooked on sport for life.

Nominations were open to all club, schools, community groups individual volunteers within the county borough.

Nomination categories and winners

  • Community Coach Of The Year - The community coach of the year award is for an exceptional individual who deserves recognition for their voluntary outstanding contribution to sport in their community.

  • Young Volunteer Of The Year (Under 18’s) - This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a young volunteer getting more people starting, staying and/or succeeding in sport/physical activity through high quality delivery.

  • Club of the Year - The Club of the Year award is in recognition of the work that clubs within the community are doing to provide opportunity and provision of sport to all.

  • Volunteer Of The Year (18&Over) - This award recognises the outstanding contribution of a volunteer getting more people starting, staying and/or succeeding in sport/physical activity through high quality delivery.

  • Inclusive Coach of the Year - This award is for an individual who has shown a great deal of commitment & passion whilst working with specific target groups such as (Women & Girls, Race, Disability and Deprivation)

  • Lifetime to Sport in Caerphilly - This recognition is for individuals who have demonstrated great enthusiasm, dedication and  commitment in making a significant impact on the provision of sport within their community.
