Successful first Winter Event of 2023 for CCBC took place in Ystrad Mynach Town Centre
Posted on : 24 Nov 2023
Last Saturday the 18th of November saw Ystrad Mynach Town Centre transform for the first Winter Food and Craft Fair of 2023. Despite the weather, there was an excellent turn out with 5,353 visitors in attendance, making it the busiest day since the last event in March and 4,231 more visitors to the town than the previous Saturday.
The fair saw a huge variety of great activities and entertainment including Santa’s Grotto, live music performances, craft workshops, funfair rides, food stalls, and much more.
All the town’s high street shops also got involved in the fun of the day and welcomed visitors, giving small and local businesses a boost.
Hear what the traders and local businesses had to say about the event:
Margaret at The Card Shop said, “Lovely event, nice atmosphere, the entertainment with the dog on the bike was great fun!”
Joanne at St Davids Foundation Charity Shop commented, “Fabulous footfall our end! Good turnout, busy, lots of new faces.”
Gareth at D. Emlyn Lloyd said, “Nice event, good day and turnout, nice way to start off the Winter events programme.”
Little Grandma’s Kitchen commented, “Although the weather wasn’t the best, the people came out when it improved. The organisation was 1st class as always, with everyone helpful and cheerful.”
Ellen and Claire at Ystrad Mynach Library also said, “Knit and Natter group did very well, along with craft/cards/colouring sessions, we had over 250 visitors on the day, it was a lovely day with a steady flow of people, the event really brought people into the library!”
The next Winter Food & Craft Fair will be in Blackwood on Saturday 25th November, from 9am-5pm. Come along and enjoy the festivities! Find more information on our Winter events at
