Copy birth certificates
If you require a certificate from records held at Caerphilly district register office, you can make application by telephone, email or via our online application process. We will then post the certificate out to you.
We hold records of most of the births that have occurred in the Caerphilly County Borough since 1837.
We can only issue copy birth certificates if we hold the register containing the original entry. If not, you must apply to the register office that holds the original record.
Information you will need to provide
Where possible we will need to know the following information about the person(s) whose certificate is required:
- Full name at birth
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Parents’ names
- Birth mother's maiden name
