The way you rent has changed… for tenants and landlords
The Renting Homes (Wales) Act is the biggest change to housing law in Wales for decades.
On1 December 2022 Welsh Government imeplemented the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 to change the way all landlords in Wales rent their properties. It aims to improve how we rent, manage, and live in rented homes in Wales.
There will be some new terms to get used to, under the new law, tenants will become 'contract-holders'. Tenancy agreements will be replaced with 'occupation contracts'.
