Extra care providers
Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) are the regulators for social care and Social Services in Wales and aim to provide independent assurances about the quality and availability of Social Care in Wales. A directory of social care services registered with CIW can be found on the CIW website.
Extra care combines the advantages of high quality, self-contained accommodation and the provision of flexible care and support services based in the scheme. The service enables the tenants to retain control over their own lives, maximising opportunities for independence and social inclusion, while receiving the support they need in a safe environment within a community setting.
