Blue badge misuse
It is the responsibility of the person named on the blue badge to ensure it is used correctly. The badge and its concessions apply for the named holders use only.
Making sure that the scheme is not abused will benefit genuine badge holders.
It is a criminal offence for you or anyone else to misuse the badge, and doing so could lead to a £1,000 fine.
The badge is intended for on-street parking only. Off-street car parks, such as those provided in local authority, hospital or supermarket car parks are governed by separate rules.
The following link provides information on how and when your badge should be used, including where you can and can't park. It also includes information about using your blue badge abroad.
