Welsh Church Fund

To promote the activities of voluntary organisations which benefit the people of Caerphilly county borough and enrich local communities.

Who is entitled to apply?

Registered voluntary societies, movements and institutions which contribute towards local community life. In addition to churches or chapels, community organisations and community based projects are eligible for funding, providing the proposed projects are for purposes beneficial to the community, as defined by Welsh Church Fund.

What level of grant is available?

Total annual income for the fund is approximately £61,600. Grants are for capital schemes only. Applications that meet the criteria and cost £5,000 or less will be fully grant funded.  For applications in excess of £5,000, the remaining amount will be subject to a grant rate of £75% up to a maximum grant of £10,000 (e.g. an application for £8,000 that meets the criteria would receive a grant of £7,250 - £5,000 plus 75% of the remaining £3,000).

How often are applications considered?

All applications are considered 3 times a year. Final date for applications for 2018/19 will be 28 February 2019.
