Back in Person – Dance for Parkinsons
Posted on : 09 Mar 2022
Dance for Parkinsons are currently looking for new people to join their sessions at Blackwood Miners Institute.
Dance has been proven to develop confidence and strength, whilst temporarily relieving some participants of symptoms in everyday life. Classes are fun, creative and promote feelings of freedom from the physical and social constraints of having Parkinson’s.
Caerphilly County Borough Council Arts Development have partnered with the exceptional National Dance Company Wales and caters for all abilities.
The group runs each Wednesday at Blackwood Miners Institute between 10-11.15am. The first session is free of charge with any further sessions costing £3.50 per week.
Arts Development Officer Bethan Ryland said: “This is a great opportunity to improve movement, strength and coordination in a very professional, supportive and fun environment, so come along and give it a go.”
For more information please contact arts development at chambd@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 07841 799947.
