The second Winter Food and Craft Fair of the season within Caerphilly Borough took place in Blackwood Town Centre on Saturday 26th November. Two hugely successful Lantern making workshops have taken place in Caerphilly in time for the River of Light Lantern Parade that will happen along with a firework display and the Caerphilly Winter Fair on Saturday 3rd December.

Between June and September of this year, Caerphilly County Borough Council has approved grants totalling £27,748 for voluntary groups.

Third Sector Voluntary Organisations contribute around £3.8 billion to the Welsh economy each year, and the Caerphilly County Borough has over four hundred active voluntary organisations providing a diverse range of projects, services, events and activities for our communities, right across the County Borough.

Residents across Gwent are being asked to get involved and support White Ribbon Day on Friday 25 November.

The town centre welcomed an outstanding 9,000 visitors, the highest amount of people to ever attend an event in Ystrad Mynach and the busiest day of the year so far for the town.
