Welsh Church Fund
The purpose of the grant scheme is to promote the activities of voluntary organisations which benefit the people of Caerphilly county borough and enrich local communities.
Who is entitled to apply?
Registered voluntary societies, movements and institutions which contribute towards local community life. In addition to churches or chapels, community organisations and community based projects are eligible for funding, providing the proposed projects are for purposes beneficial to the community, as defined by Welsh Church Fund.
What level of grant is available?
Total annual income for the fund is approximately £60,000. Grants are for capital schemes only. Grants of up to a maximum of £5,000 are available. Applications that meet the criteria and cost £5,000 or less can be fully grant funded. For projects costing over £5,000 grants of up to the maximum amount are available.
How often are applications considered?
Applications can be submitted at any time and are assessed on a monthly basis.

At its meeting on 27 March 2019 the Council’s Cabinet formally approved the criteria that will be applied in Caerphilly county borough, and the agreed criteria is attached below:
If you feel your project meets the agreed criteria, we would welcome a conversation with you, so we can understand what your project entails and help to ensure that the application process is as easy as possible. If your project meets the criteria, we will then send out an application form for you to complete.
