Funding for Oakdale Business
Park
Oakdale Business Park benefits from
its location within an assisted
area and has attracted high levels
of grant assistance throughout the
land reclamation schemes and the
development of this prime site.
Furthermore, eligible businesses
locating to Oakdale Business Park
can also benefit from grant assistance.

The on site reclamation works
have been part - funded through
the European Union with the grant
awarded to the WAG to part finance
the reclamation works.
The environmental improvements,
including the planting and the development
of the Landscape Management Plan,
have been funded through the European
Regional Development Fund and the
WAG.
Infrastructure
On-site infrastructure has been
funded through the Welsh Capital
Challenge Scheme, with entrance
roundabout providing direct access
to Plateaus 1 and 2. The spine road
running through the length of the
site has also been funded through
the Welsh Capital Challenge Scheme.

the Welsh Capital Challenge Scheme,
have been carried out to improve
access to the business park from
Kendon Hill.
Developments
The first phase of development on
Plateau 2, 60,000 sq. ft. of industrial
space, was financed through the
Welsh Capital Challenge Scheme and
the European Regional Development
Fund in a joint venture agreement
between the Council and the WAG.
The second phase of development
by the Council and also the WAG
has been financed through European
Objective 1 funding and the Local
Regeneration Fund and provides 100,000
sq. ft. of quality industrial space.
Both the Council and WAG submitted
complementary bids for this European
funding which has provided a property
offer that is unparalleled in the
area.
The third phase of development by the Council, the mixed development portfolio, comprises 150,000 sq. ft. of quality business premises at 3 locations on Oakdale Business Park. The £9.4 million funding for this Strategic Development Portfolio comprises a European Union's Objective 1 grant of £3.5 million which is matched by the Welsh Assembly Government's Local Regeneration Fund of £5.9 million.
The Welsh Capital Challenge
Scheme has been superseded by the
