Cabinet set to consider Junior and Youth Forum priorities
Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Cabinet are set to consider a report on Junior and Youth Forum priorities.

The report was considered by the Education for Life Scrutiny Committee on 2nd April and highlights issues raised by children and young people via the Youth Services Junior and Youth Forums.

The Education for Life Scrutiny Committee will ask Cabinet to consider the following items from the report on 24th April as outlined below:
  • Junior and Youth Forum issues to be supported and presented to Cabinet.
  • Support in regards to the Youth Forum addressing the priority issue of Mental Health.
  • Backing for the Junior Forum to raise awareness of Drug and Alcohol Support.
  • Issues raised by children and young people when making decisions which affect their lives.

Cllr Philippa Marsden, Cabinet Member for Education and Achievement said: “This report outlines a number of important priorities from both the Junior and Youth Forum. Issues surrounding mental health and making sure young people are supported are really significant in helping our younger generation and as a Cabinet we will be looking into these factors in great detail to make sure we can help assist as much as possible.”
