Bin collection days
From Monday 28 October 2024, many residents waste and recycling collection days including organic (food and garden) are changing.
During the initial changeover period, some properties will have their general (non-recycling) waste collected on 2 consecutive weeks but unfortunately some properties will see a 3-week gap between collections.
The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience and will collect any additional bags put out for collection. Please note we will only be collecting extra bags once and normal collection frequencies will resume following this changeover period.
We are aware of some issues with properties displaying collection days over more than one day. We are working very closely with our supplier to resolve them. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The aim of this change is to create a more efficient and user-friendly waste collection service for our residents. This new way of working will provide a modern and sustainable waste collection service.
