Come along on a Caerphilly adventure with Dogs Trust and Snoopy.
Caerphilly County Borough Council are super excited to be welcoming A Dogs Trail with Snoopy into Caerphilly Town Centre this Spring; a special event that will promote health and wellbeing, bring businesses and communities together and help boost the regional economy.
From 8th April to 5th June Caerphilly Town Centre will be a hive of activity as a selection of exquisitely designed and brightly coloured Snoopy’s descend on the town ready to meet you all! There will be not one, but six giant 5ft Snoopy sculptures, all intricately designed by local, regional and national artists, designers and illustrators. Each Snoopy will have its own tale to tell!
Caerphilly County Borough schools have also been instrumental in their involvement in the art trail; designing their very own mini characters that will be located at indoor venues around Caerphilly Town Centre. Thirty-five local schools have been busy creating some exceptional masterpieces … they are all so very different but equally as remarkable in displaying the pupil’s creativity and imagination. Snoopy really has been brought to life by the schools of Caerphilly and they cannot wait for the trail to finish!
Pupils and teachers are desperate to welcome their 3ft Snoopy sculptures back through the school doors once the trail has taken place, ready for them to reside in their forever home. But first everyone gets to enjoy the delightful mini pups during the trail!
The Dogs Trail in Caerphilly is an extension of A Dogs Trail with Snoopy in Cardiff which will be host to a large number of giant Snoopy sculptures. There will also be another 6 sculptures located in Porthcawl making this Southern Wales art trail a real treat for anyone thinking of visiting the area.
