About Caerphilly Employment Support Team

The support is voluntary and our experienced employment mentors can meet you on a one to one basis in your local community for an informal chat so that you can discuss whether the support is right for you (which we are sure it will be!).

The Academy

The Academy provides mentoring for all Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) employees, apprentices and trainees.

The Academy provides an Early Careers network and development pathways to build and sustain the workforce of the future.

Alongside the rest of the team, The Academy provides recruitment support to CCBC departments.

About Our Funding

Our Employability Team comprises of Communities for Work Plus, UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Skills and Apprenticeship Academy. Using these funding streams, we are now able to offer more support than ever before!

Communities for Work Plus is funded by Welsh Government.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
